LeBron James responded to criticism from Donald Trump regarding James's actions during the national anthem before a Philadelphia 76ers game against the Knicks. Trump posted a video of James performing a golf swing and jump shot during the anthem at Madison Square Garden, calling him a "TOTAL DISGRACE." James responded on Thursday night by stating, "It's a slow news day in the office." 76ers coach Nick Nurse characterized the comments as "outside noise." This interaction follows a history of public exchanges between the two, including James's 2017 "equality" shoes and his 2018 comments regarding social issues and his role as a leader for the youth.
