EXCLUSIVE: Netflix is developing a movie
adaptation of "Hatchet," Gary Paulsen's 1987
young adult survival novel.
The film will be written and directed by
Derek Cianfrance, best known for films such
as "Blue Valentine" and "The Place Beyond
the Pines.'
I read this book back in the day many years ago. I remember it being a riveting survival thriller perfect for young teens and up. Interesting choice for director only because he creates really dark depressing films.
Did you read the novel? Did you enjoy it? Will you be watching the Netflix adaptation?
