The Dell Alienware 15 (DA15265) is priced at $1,459.99 and features an AMD Ryzen 7 260 processor combined with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR7 memory. It includes 16GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, designed for gaming and general use. The laptop has a 15.3-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a 165Hz refresh rate, but only 62.5% sRGB color coverage. It also includes a 720p webcam, weak speakers, and a fairly small 512GB SSD.
The primary design choice was to concentrate the budget on performance, resulting in plastic construction and chunky bezels – weighing almost five pounds with its 180W charger – offering a noticeable weight despite being a relatively rigid chassis. The display has a 165Hz refresh rate but limited color coverage and backlight bleed, prioritizing gaming responsiveness over accurate color reproduction.
